Don't Cotton to Pain
Referred to as oxy cotton in common parlance, the actual medical term for this drug is oxycodone. Oxy cotton is very powerful as a pain reducer but can be addictive. It is an opioid analgesic that is a synthetic of thebaine. Similar to the pain killer codeine, it is more potent and its potential for dependency is even greater.
Oxy cotton, or
oxycodone, is one of the strongest pain control medicines that can be
ingested orally. Percocet is one of the more common of its derivates,
a combination of oxy cotton and acetaminophen, often prescribed for
pain following forgery. Oxy cotton is also used to treat severe and
chronic pain. If oxy cotton is taken at the recommended dosage and for
no longer than several weeks its pain relief or control is excellent
and it side effects manageable. Oxy cotton short-term side effects can
include constipation, nausea, dizziness, light headedness, a rash and
mood swings.
